Colonel McCain was the commander of the Twelfth Cavalry stationed at Fort Larrabie. Like the rest of his garrison, McCain hasn't seen any action on the frontier until his spotter warned him of what appeared to be the Apaches preparing to attack his fort. But reality came to him and his men as his enemies were Commander Dar and his alien forces after they blasted the fort's gate open. At first mistaken as some "Indian trick", McCain rounded the Twelfth Cavalry to attack the invaders, but were quickly slaughtered in a one-sided battle. McCain was personally killed by Commander Dar who breaks the Colonel's neck.
